BLOW STUFF UP Music Party

In France, we have that strange tradition to organize “La fĂȘte de la Musique” - read “The Music Day” - on the first day of summer. So every year on June 21st people fill the streets with notes and rythms.
As you may know - or not - I’m really into the music thing. First as a digital and media director for Jarring Effects then as a co-founder of Airflex Labs and finally as a musician myself. Most of my friends belong to this little musical world or at least are somewhat involved in music-related things running well.

2007 was a good year, and as I prepared the JFX Bits project, I realized me and my people could go a bit further. My friend Raph - aka N-com.user - had the name for this new thing… Blow Stuff Up ! What a good name… So we found ourselves organizing small venues at small places in our Town.

2008 has been bringing this idea a step further. A free, 2500 people, 16 kw sound and 12 hours non stop playing massive and huge RAVE ! This party will take place in a facility, bringing the ultimate underground facelift to our kids. Jarring Effects, Bee records, Freqknsyz, BRK, Ultimae recordings and Polygohm records, united we now are and people are going to remember this party !

I’ve been designing the whole event’s graphic and web communication. It means 10.000 15cm square Flyers 170g varnished + 1.000 135g A2 posters + blowstuffup.org . The entire job took me one week. It almost took more time to stick half the 1000 poster on the city’s walls than getting them done :)
…and I’l have the pleasure to have a dj set for all my friends and ravers from my place… could I ask for more ?
